Accept

Accept, groupe heavy métal, se forme en Allemagne en 1978. Avec des riffs simples et agressif, la formation, composée de Wolf Hoffman et de Herman Frank pour la guitare, Udo Dirkschneider pour le chant (à la manière du défunt Bon Scott d'ACDC), Peter Baltes pour la basse et Stefan Kaufmann pour la batterie, est un des groupe heavy métal les plus en vue au début des années 80. Ils enregistrent leur premier album éponyme en 1979. Ils ont assez rapidement une influence majeure sur l'évolution du trash et du speed métal. Alors que Accept s'oriente dans une voix plus mélodique avec les albums Metal heart (1985) et Russian roulette (1986), Udo Dirkschneider monte son propre groupe Udo en 1987. C'est David Reece qui prend sa succession au sein d'Accept. Le groupe enregistre encore trois albums et se séparent en 1989. Il se reforme au milieu des années 90 et sort Death Row (1995), Steel glove (1996) et Predator (1997).
