Alice CooperAlice Cooper, de son vrai nom Vincent Damon Furnier, naît le 4 février 1948 à Detroit aux Etats-Unis. Alice Cooper, c'est avant tout le nom de son groupe qui signe son premier album Pretties for you en 69. Il est suivi de Easy action en 70. C'est avec Love it to death et le single Eighteen que la carrière du groupe décolle. En 72, Alice Cooper est au sommet avec School's out puis Billion dollar babies l'année suivante dont est extrait le single No more Mr. Nice Guy. Après la sortie de Muscle of love, Vincent Damon Furnier dissout Alice Cooper mais conserve ce nom pour sa carrière solo. Son premier album s'intitule Welcome to my nightmare et sort en 75 avec la ballade Only women bleed.Le disque se classe dans le Top Ten américain. Suit l'album Alice Cooper goes to hell l'année suivante. La carrière d'Alice Cooper commence alors à stagner en partie à cause de ses problèmes avec l'alcool. Il signe l'album From the inside en 78 qui traite de sa désintoxication. Alice Cooper connaît à nouveau le succès avec les albums Constrictor en 86 et surtout Trash en 89 sur lequel apparaissent Jon Bon Jovi et Richie Sambora. Le titre Poison lui permet de rentrer à nouveau dans le Top Ten. Suivent entre autre les albums Hey Stoopid en 91, Last temptation en 1994 et Brutal Planet en 2000. Suit Dragontown (2001).
